Russia's Mikhail Youzhny faces the serving might of Ivo Karlovic in the last eight of the Zagreb Indoors.
Youzhny is into his third Zagreb quarter-final after crushing Slovenia's Grega Zemlja 6-1, 6-3 in 76 minutes, dropping just 10 points on serve. Youzhny has a fine record in most events on the European indoor swing but he's yet to reach the Zagreb final, losing in the last four to Ivan Ljubicic back in 2007.
It may not have been his best start to the season but Youzhny is perennially dangerous indoors and he holds a 2-0 head-to-head advantage over the big serving Karlovic.
Karlovic has underperformed in the past in Zagreb and after some decent Australian Open performances (he reached the third round) he's confident of going all the way and he eased past the experienced Dudi Sela 6-3, 6-2 on Thursday.
However Youzhny defeated him 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 at the 2008 Australian Open and won 6-2, 6-7(3), 6-3 in Doha a few weeks ago.
Prediction: Youzhny in three.
