Eighth seed Ivo Karlovic looks to book a quarter-final place at the Zagreb Indoors when he takes on Dudi Sela on Thursday.
The softly spoken Karlovic was a popular 7-6(2), 6-3 winner over Slovenia's Blaz Kavcic in the first round on Tuesday evening. On a surface this fast, the Karlovic serve is always going to be a nightmare to return and he won 85% of his first serve points.
It's likely to be a similar story against Sela. Karlovic holds a 13 inch height advantage over the slightly built Israeli and his heavily kicking second serves to the Sela single-handed backhand are likely to be an effective weapon.
However Sela himself is a wily operator and he's going to make life difficult for Karlovic from the back of the court. He may be currently ranked 73 but he's been in the top 30 and he's beaten players of the quality of Andy Roddick in the past.
He enjoyed a decent 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 win over the hard serving Andreas Beck in round one. However Karlovic has won both their past matches, most recently in four sets at the 2008 Australian Open.
Look for him to prevail in straight sets.
