Milos Raonic and Andy Roddick lead the field for the ATP San Jose tournament also known as the SAP Open.
Over the course of its 120 year history, the SAP Open has been graced by some of the greatest players in tennis history with Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Ivan Lendl, Stefan Edberg and John McEnroe among the list of past champions.
Andy Roddick has been a popular champion in San Jose, winning the tournament three times over the past decade. Roddick finished runner-up to Fernando Verdasco on his last appearance in 2010 and the American's back again to try and reclaim his title.
However Roddick will face a strong challenge from 2011 winner Milos Raonic who's already got a title to his name in 2012, winning the Chennai Open in the first week of the season.
Gael Monfils has enjoyed a very bright start to the new season. The Frenchman may have disappointed at the Australian Open but he's made finals in Doha and Montpellier and already has a win over Rafa Nadal to his name this year.
Look out for wily veteran Radek Stepanek who's made the final twice in San Jose. As Raonic has also shown, the surface helps the players who like to get forward and Stepanek triumphed in 2009, beating Mardy Fish.
