The 2012 ATP Montpellier final sees Tomas Berdych in action against France's Gael Monfils.
Berdych and Monfils have played just once before on the tour, the Czech player winning 6-3, 6-2 in Dubai four years ago.
Since then Berdych has established himself in the top ten and he's looked a worthy top seed all week, not coming close to dropping a set despite tough challenges from Nicolas Mahut and Philipp Kohlschreiber.
Kohlschreiber was expected to come close to upsetting Berdych after his brilliant performance to see off Richard Gasquet in the quarters. However Berdych has comfortably dealt with the German throughout his career and did not drop serve en route to a 6-3, 6-4 win.
Ever the showman, Monfils relishes playing in front of a home crowd and it's no surprise that the best results of his career have come in his homeland (he's made the French Open semis and two Paris Masters finals). He won the inaugural Montpellier title two years ago and clung onto his hopes of repeating the feat, saving match point to see off second seed Gilles Simon in the last four.
Prediction: Berdych to claim his seventh ATP title with a three set win.
