Quarter-final action at the ATP Dubai 2013 will see Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer take court on Thursday.
Fourth seeded Juan Martin del Potro, who recorded a straight set win over Somdev Devvarman will now take on German qualifier Daniel Brands for his last-eight clash. Brands lost eight games in his straight-set upset win against eighth seeded Mikhail Youzhny in the second round.
Following del Potro on court will be the third seeded Tomas Berdych who takes on wild-card entrant Dmitry Tursunov of Russia. Tursunov defeated Michael Llodra in his previous round action in a tough three-setter while Berdych had a much easier time of it against Tobias Kamke.
Djokovic and Federer will be the two players to watch out and they will be out on court for their quarter-finals in the evening session. Djokovic did not take in his second round win over Roberto Bautista-Agut and will now play seventh seeded Andreas Seppi of Italy. Seppi sent out Lukas Rosol in another second round match.
Second seeded Federer will face Nikolay Davydenko after beating Marcel Granollers in straight sets previous round. Davydenko overcame Victor Hanescu in his second round match.
