The Aircel Chennai Open final 2012 between Janko Tipsarevic and Milos Raonic gets underway on Sunday.
Raonic was a revelation on the ATP Tour in 2011, exploding onto the scene with his all-action, big hitting style. The Canadian forced his way into the world's top 30 and he's made a superb start to 2012 this week, seeing off world number ten Nicolas Almagro 6-4, 6-4 in the semi-finals.
Almagro admitted there was little he could do as Raonic pounded aces and winners past him. Standing at 6'5, Raonic can generate some serious power and bounce and top seed Tipsarevic will have to be at his very best to stand a chance.
"My game is suited to hard court and I feel very comfortable on it. I think I have served well all week and also returned well. The hard work I have put in is paying off," Raonic said after his semi-finals win. "As a young player, the main aim is to develop and improve my game. I have the potential to play with the top players. The rankings will follow."
Tipsarevic has the edge in experience and he's going for his third career title while Raonic is going for his second after getting off the mark in San Jose last year.
Prediction: Look for Raonic to power through in straight sets
