Ian HorneAs far as I can remember I've always had a keen interest in sport, and over the years have been involved with football, cricket, rugby and hockey teams, whilst also occasionally playing tennis and golf. I've also developed a passion for writing, which began with writing political opinion pieces for University newspapers, and led to employment as a blogger.
Fortunately, I was able to merge my interests in 2010, when I began writing for Live-Tennis.com. Since then, working for Live-Tennis and associated sites, I've covered the ATP and WTA circuits, and was also able to cover stories about basketball, football, GAA and horse racing.
As a spectator, I also regularly stay up to date with boxing and Formula 1.
Steven WebbI have been a huge tennis fan since Wimbledon 1996, when I and millions of others cheered Tim Henman all the way to the Wimbledon quarter-finals. I watch the ATP and WTA tours avidly, and aim to see events live whenever possible. My favourite tournaments to visit are the French Open and the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
I have contributed to many online publications, covering everything from business news to education to entertainment! But working for Live Tennis.com allows me to combine my twin passions of writing and tennis.
Favourite players: Stefan Edberg, Justine Henin, Bjorn Borg, Martina Hingis
Favourite matches: Djokovic-Nadal, Australian Open 2012; Henin-V Williams, US Open 2007.
Raymond DoyleI graduated with a Degree and a Masters in Marketing before going on to be copy writer and PR betting expert for one of Ireland’s biggest bookmakers.
It might sound like a cliche, but I live and breathe sport – If I’m not playing football, golf or tennis, I’m talking or writing about sport. I have been told I have a slightly worrying knowledge of most sports so I love the odd pub quiz!
I grew up waiting for Wimbledon to start every summer while cheering on Stefan Edberg and Andre Agassi. I’m privileged to be writing in a time where three of the greatest players ever are in their prime - Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.
David CoxGrowing up in the UK, I wanted to be ‘the next Tim Henman’ but at the age of 12, I came to the solemn realization that I had a better chance of writing my way to Wimbledon instead.
Since then it hasn't worked out too badly. I've written for tennis, athletics and golf magazines across the world from Athletics Weekly in the UK, to Australian Tennis and Competitor magazine in the US.
I specialize in interviewing and so far I've been fortunate enough to spend some time in the company of Usain Bolt, Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal to name but a few.
Favourite Sports: Most really! In particular Tennis, Athletics, Boxing, Golf and Football.
